Classroom Feature in Violy App
To help all Violy musicians take remote music classes in a more organized and flexible way, “Classroom” feature is supported on Violy app.
“Classroom” feature is like a smart class schedule. It allows music teachers to schedule the online music classes and get every participant notified before the classes begin. Also, during the video call, students can rejoin the class at any time if they get disconnected. Besides, The group/academy admin can use the feature to help music teachers create classes, which can take the pressure off the teachers and improve the efficiency of management.
To understand the feature better, check out the instructions of its usage below.
Online Music “Classroom”
Enter “Classroom” page in the app, and click on “+ Create” to schedule a new class.
Fill in the information required and click on “Confirm”. Then a new online music class is created. If your class repeats on certain days at a fixed time, you can select the repeat days in “Repeats”, and the system will set up the schedule for the next 12 weeks.
Once the new class is created, it can be seen in section “Timetable” in “Classroom” page.
All participants of the online music class will receive push notifications from Violy App 15 minutes and 5 minutes ahead of the scheduled time. We recommend users to enable the notifications of the app in case of missing classes.
The participants are able to join the class 5 minutes before the class begins. Click on “Join now” to enter the class.
During the class, if you or your students get disconnected or exit from the class by accident, just click on “Lessoning…” to rejoin the class.
Click on the clock symbol on the top right corner in “Classroom” page, and you can see details of all scheduled classes.
Things about Leaving Scheduled Music Classes
As the host of the class, you can click on the button of “Leave” to pause or end the current class.
If you select “End the class”, the current class will be ended. Then no one will be able to join the class anymore.
If you choose to “Pause for now”, the class will not be ended. You are able to rejoin the class within the duration of the current class. But if you do not return in time, the class will be ended automatically when the time is up.
The current class will not be ended if you exit from the class because of losing the network connection.
